Israel gained its land in 1948. The day after its establishment, it received a “warm welcome” from its neighbors.

The congratulations it received were that seven of its neighbors went to war. Israel could not exactly be accused of having a super army that thundered over the invaders. Perhaps not so strange when you consider that Israel was one day old when they were subjected to a massive attack.

There was little or nothing to indicate that the Jews would win this war against a formidable seven countries. Israel won, but Jordan then occupied Judea and Samaria, expelled all the Jews who lived there, moved in Arabs and renamed the land the West Bank so that it would not be recognized as the old historical kingdom from the Bible. In 1967, the neighbors attacked Israel again in the Six-Day War.

Here, the Arab neighbors were looking for revenge for the defeat in 1948. In 1967, history repeated itself and again the invaders had to go home with a wounded head. They were defeated and defeated and Israel took back Judea and Samaria, and let all the Arabs who lived there continue to do so.

In 1973, the Arabs, led by Egypt, were to be clever and surprise Israel on Yom Kippur, the great Day of Atonement, when the Jews were in their synagogues.

This is the holiest day of the year for Jews. Israel was caught in the act, but fought back and overran the enemies and drove them back.

This war took Israel 10 days to win.
